Video McNasties presents the Nasty Frames Independent Film Festival! We’re dedicated to bringing you some of the sleaziest, filthiest, greasiest, trashiest, grimiest, nastiest cinematic entertainment that money can buy, and maybe some other stuff as well. We’re not overly picky, but we look for projects that have heart and soul. We’re independent filmmakers as well as cinema enthusiasts, so we can appreciate the hard work and sacrifice that goes into a production, and we want other people to recognize it. We also want to provide the viewer with an alternative to conventional festival programming and Netflix recommended viewing.

Video McNasties Studios presents another Nasty Frames Independent (ONLINE) Film Festival! That’s right, we’re back at it with the WORST FESTIVAL ON THE INTERNET! We’re a bunch of horror/sleaze hounds and indie filmmakers, out to have some fun while showing films we think are worth other people’s time.

FRIDAY, AUGUST 27TH, 2021

After a wild inaugural year in 2020, we’re back with another Nasty Frames Independent Film Festival. We’ve scoured the darkest recesses of the indie film world to bring you more of the wildest horror, action, thrillers, cult/grindhouse/exploitation nostalgia and whatever other weirdness we could sit through without wanting to clawing out our eyes. We are still hosting part of this summer’s event online. To kick off things off, however, we’ve teamed up with the newly-reopened Staircase Theatre – now known as People Under the Staircase – to present an exclusive IN-PERSON, ONE-NIGHT-ONLY, DOUBLE BILL screening on Friday, August 27th! The evening will begin with a showcase of some of the nastiest short films from Ontario’s most deranged filmmakers, followed by the CANADIAN PREMIERE of Nikos Kallipolitis’s 10 minute short film, Beef Stew! Our feature presentation of the evening will be J.P. Langois’s bikersploitation masterpiece, The Impalers!

In addition to the venue’s restaurant area – where Staicha and staff will be serving a wide range of tasty food, snacks and alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages – the theatre is a 19+ licensed space! The venue staff work diligently to clean and sanitize all areas, however, COVID restrictions are still in effect, and social distancing/mask rules will be enforced for this event (except while eating/drinking). This means there will be a limited number of seats available, so act fast and get your tickets while you can! Trust me when I say that you DO NOT want to miss this event!

This showcase will be followed by a special presentation of the CANADIAN PREMIERE of the 10 minute short film, Beef Stew (Director Nikos Kallipolitis)!

In J.P. Langois’ feature-length debut, Alan Kolovsky (played by Guillaume Corneau) is caught up in a manhunt between bikers, a hitman and a Russian spy. Shot on a budget of only $10,000, this insane ode to exploitation cinema features muscle car chase scenes, torture sequences, multiple shoot-outs and gory bloody vengeance. Kolovsy will do anything to save his life and nobody can stop him!
